DIY flower hair accessories

When Spring/Summer finally decides to show up I think flower hair accessories are going to be all the rage, the perfect thing to dress up your undone beach-y waves or your summer's night up-do. You can buy them from quite a lot of places now but to me they always just seemed a bit too expensive for what they were. So, here is how you can make your own, for around £5!

1.  pop along to your local haberdashery or odds-and-ends style shop. I wanted these comb-slide type accessories but you can just as easily choose a plain alice band (one of the hard ones) or whatever you would prefer, I got these 2 for 70p. You next want some fake flowers, not paper ones though as they really wont last very well, these are a foam-y type material that was in the bridal section of the shop and were about £2 (I am terrible at remembering things). Then lastly you want some good superglue, normally around £2-£3 but depends what you get and where from.

It is then just as simple taking the flower heads off their stems and super-glueing them on to your accessory!

Et Voila! a bang on trend accessory to instantly add some glam to any hairstyle, it was really hard to actually get a decent picture of them in my hair but here ya go;

Let me know if you have a go at making these I would love to see your take on them!
